IX. A Vision to Give All Forms of Spectroscopy "the Same Look" by the Use of IT

One of the goals of the Edison Project at Columbia is to devise IT modules and experiments that are integrated in such a manner that the undergraduate will "see" that all forms of spectroscopy, data handling and simulation are derived from a common intellectual and scientific base. Once experimental data is digitized, a "topological" IT basis for the commonality has been achieved!
